ATCC Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM), 500mL
It is modified to contain 4 mM L-glutamine, 4500 mg/L glucose, 1 mM sodium pyruvate, and 1500 mg/L sodium bicarbonate. This reduced level of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3, 1.5 g/L) is intended for use in 5% CO2 in air. Additional sodium bicarbonate may be required for use in incubators containing higher percentages of CO2. For use by FOR-PROFIT companies only; NON-PROFIT companies use 50188267NP. Bioworld DMEM/Ham's F-12 (1:1) w/ HEPES, 500 mL
Dublecco's Modified Eagles Medium/Nutrient Mixture Ham's F-12 (DMEM/Ham's F-12) was created after extensive study of Harry Eagle's first reports. Since then, studies have been underway to determine the media requirements for individual cell types. The medium found to be most satisfactory for these studies was a 1:1 mixture of Dublecco's Modified Eagle's Medium (DMEM) and Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture. To help compensate for the buffering capacity lost with the removal of serum, HEPES has been added in some modifications at a final concentration of 15 mM. BM 567 Thromboxane A2 (TXA2) is a potent thrombogenic and vasoconstrictor eicosanoid, produced in large quantities by activated platelets. TXA2 has been implicated as a causal factor in the onset of stroke and myocardial infarction. BM 567 is a dual acting antithrombogenic agent, acting as an inhibitor of thromboxane A2 (TXA2) synthase and as an antagonist of the TP receptor, the G protein-coupled receptor mediatingTXA2 activity in platelets and vascular smooth muscle. BM 567antagonizes the vascular smooth muscle TP receptor with an IC50 value of1.1 nM. It inhibits platelet TX synthase with an IC50 value of 12 nM.
